KUCCPS, the sole Placement Body warns of Fraudsters
in Admission.

Students who sat last year’s Form
Four examinations have been asked to look out for fraudsters out to con them using false university
admissions. Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) Chief Executive Officer
John Muraguri said his organisation is the only one mandated with student placement. “We warn them
that our services are free and transparent and anybody asking for money is definitely not an employee

    1. Yiankaso – READ THIS VERY CAREFULLY –
‘Most probably’ the results for the Second Revisions exercise would be out by the end of this month (end of July 2015).

However, the admission letters for Campuses would come from the same University that one has been placed in.
So, it’s advisable that the emails and the phone numbers that were provided during the application should be open at all times. Make sure you gave the correct contact address, check and re-check – it’s very important.

For more information and updates always log on to the official KUCCPS website at :

      http://kuccps.net

Nb. SMS or Email will pop up from the University that one has been placed in anytime from now.

Always be on the lookout for such messages, it’s the sole reason why your phones should be live and open at all times.

Also for clear response to your query I’d advise that you get in touch directly with KUCCPS through sending an email to:

Kuccps : How to check your Course
      Application Status.

      Kuccps applicants can now access
the status of the first revision of
      choices exercise following the
      procedure outlined below:

Step 1 : Visit the KUCCPS website

  7. I have called them but am told those who applied for diploma our result will be out next weeek am shocked

  8. Hi.if i join campus through kuccps degree selection as a government sponsor,i then decide to join a course which i didnt qualify for because of cluster points but i meet the requirements of the course as a non government sporsored student, will i be considered

    1. Alfred – your issues can best be tackled fully by the dean of faculties etc immediately upon joining the campus.

Lodge your predicament within the first two weeks upon admission.

READ THE FOLLOWING ARTICLE VERY AVIDLY:

This response is courtesy of ‘Kenyaplex.com’. I hope it addresses your inquiry to the fullest.

You can change a course to another provided you meet the minimum entry requirements for that course.
Changing courses within the university you’ve been admitted is usually allowed to first years within the first 2-3 weeks and is quite a
straight forward process. However inter-university transfer is a more complicated process especially when you want to transfer and change courses. Its usually easier when you are transferring to another university to take the same course and more so when you are transferring academic credits but not when you are fresh in your first year.

And this is courtesy of The Campus Mirror:

There is a last and final chance to revise courses, but this only happens once the student joins campus.
In the first or second week, the academic registrar or the Faculty head will allow students to change courses within the university, and provided one has met the minimum requirement to be selected for a certain course, they will be allowed to select a new course.
Some students may wish to transfer to a course offered in another university.
Although it is not impossible, such transfers are rare and time consuming. So, it is always advisable to transfer to a course that is offered
within the university. Nowadays, thanks to many public universities implementing the double intake strategy, Form Four graduates only stay at home for nine months before
joining campus, unlike in previous years where they used to stay for close to two years.

I hope you find both fruitful to your inquiry.

      1. Jose – The First Revisions results are already out BUT for the Second Revisions which is currently ongoing the results would pop up at the KUCCPS website immediately upon release.

The same way we’re hooked to Facebook and Twitter then it’s to be replicated and applied to KUCCPS official website as well.

So stay hooked always at the KUCCPS website for updates as they roll out.

        Sawa!

    1. Timonah – I wish I’d the ability to help you further but am afraid my hands are tied up.

You see, when calling the KUCCPS a lot of infos about your private details and finer points would be required. Examples – Sec School index, Kcpe index, KCSE details, Birth cert number, Mpesa trans number and vast more.
These can only be obtained personally from YOU and nobody else.
I sincerely hope you get the point.

So just keep trying to call them. Funny enough I’ve tried once again calling them and found their line still open.

Am using my Airtel line to call them through their Safaricom number, it’s a mystery I’ve always found them live!!

  9. av tried but am told number busy ,,pliz if you don’t mind on my behalf call them and findout what cud be the problem

  10. I already sent an email early morning but no response ,, phone calls don’t go through line busy ,,,,would you pleas as their agent confirm what might be the problem I belve it will be abit faster

    1. Timonah, don’t despair call them tomorrow as early as from 8:00am on the dot.

May I also bring to your attention that am neither the agent of KUCCPS nor do I work for them.
Timonah, this is a volunteer help desk solely established to guide and help students who’re not conversant with the mechanism of how KUCCPS works. It’s a concerted efforts contributed by various volunteers some are actively still in the universities.

  11. thanks for guiding me with the above information but am still not satisfied ,,, in kuccps website the message goes those whose index number do not appear on their website have been succesfull replaced in one of their revised courses,,,,,,what about me whose index number is not among them yet I. still get a new revision form to fill

    1. Timonnah – time is against us ! So please I’d suggest you can get in touch immediately with the KUCCPS and lodge your predicament.

Clearly there might be an error on your part as you go about the process.

      – For clear response to your query I’d advise that you get in touch directly with KUCCPS through sending an email to info@kuccps.ac.ke

      or calling KUCCPS via:
      0723954927 or 0734879662.

Don’t waste time on e-mail, just call them directly during working hours.

You’re still welcome after completing the above process but if still unsatisfied !

  12. just need to know whether am replaced or not ,,,,have got the new revision form. ,,no congratulation ,,,yet my name is not in the list of unplaced student ,,,

  13. I have confirmed my name on the list of unplaced applicant but my name is not there as well as my index number ,,, but I got a new revision form again ,,,,,,

    1. Timonah – find below the easiest way to gather all the information about your status for the First Revision exercise including the Campus you’ve been placed in.

    1. Annita, my personal advise to you is this, if you want to change the Campus that you’ve been placed in then I’d rather you joined the same Campus you’ve been selected in first then while you’re there inquire about the internal mechanism of shifting to another campus of your choice.

However, you’re also free to direct your inquiry to KUCCPS through the following leads.

Annita – For clear response to your query I’d advise that you get in touch directly with KUCCPS through sending an email to :

    1. Lawrence – The KUCCPS mandate ends after allocating places to students to various campuses across the country.
The admission and notification letters is to be sent by the respective University that one has been placed in.

      – READ THIS CAREFULLY:
This is for YOU and ALL OTHERS who are in the same predicament like you –

Seriously, the phone numbers and emails that you provided during the application exercise should always be LIVE, OPEN and WORKING AT ALL TIMES from now on to the date when you’d report to your respective campuses.

The first alert would come via SMS through your phone lines and email.
In the SMS the University you’d been placed in would notify you about your admission number, the name of your campus, how the admission letters would be sent etc etc
An SMS would pop up with notifications maybe around August or thereabouts, ( that’s maybe – NO SPECIFIC DATE HERE ).

      – Be on the lookout ALWAYS and you might be instructed to report for admission within 3 weeks from the day you receive the SMS alert or email from the University that you’ve been placed in.

All queries can be made by sending an email to info@kuccps.ac.ke
      or calling: 0723954927, 0734879662.

I hope you find the above enlightening.

Nb. Emails are very important factors in the application process, always provide the valid ones.

    1. Cornelius, call these guys at KUCCPS immediately and lodge your appeals there.

All queries can be made by sending an email to info@kuccps.ac.ke
      or calling: 0723954927, 0734879662.

Call them now, their line is always live waiting for queries from you gentlemen!!

    1. Cornelius, the email and phone numbers are very important aspects in the process of application for placements to the universities.
Well, it’s more like compulsory to posses such vital communication links for smooth exchange and updates from the campuses of one’s choice. Without that then it’s total blackout because you’d be unreachable!

Nb. Emails are very important factors in the application process, always provide the valid ones.

  16. Hi,in my application i applied a course whose cluster point was written 0.00,i think it doesn’t make sense, will it be considered or its no longer available.i decided to choose after trying to call your numbers but couldnt get through.thanx in advance

    1. Alfred, the 000 denotes that the particular campus is new or that the mentioned course is being introduced in the campus.
Don’t worry about that, you’re still eligible for the choices you applied for.

However, be on the lookout as the Second Revision of choices is on the way coming!!
Remember to log on the official KUCCPS website always.

    1. Florence, if you sat for the KCSE in 2014 but didn’t apply online during the revisions exercise then you’d still be eligible for selections according to the choices you’d made at High School prior to sitting for the exams.

However, it would’ve been wise to apply for the revisions on the stipulated dates as was announced by KUCCPS. By then the results were out and you’d have known the strength of your tally points in order to make a good and proper decision to match with the cut off points.

Florence, please visit the KUCCPS official website to find useful links and contacts and lodge your appeals there.

Enquiries may also be made by sending an
      email to info@kuccps.ac.ke or calling 0723954927, 0734879662

However, on all updates on placements etc log into the official KUCCPS website at :

      http://www.kuccps.ac.ke

I hope you find the above helpful.

  17. I did k.c.s.e 2013 and applied wit kuccps this year of which I didn’t get a confirmation SMS to show my succession,,,, help please and will it b given another chance for application incase someone missed,,,,

    1. Maureen.
According to your inquiry, – You sat for the KCSE in 2013 but you’ve not received any confirmation from KUCCPS to-date ?!!

Please, first and foremost clarify on whether you actually sat for the KCSE exams in 2013 or 2014 ?

After obtaining the above facts from you, we can draw some hints on how to ‘guide you’ Maureen.

    1. Phillip, the KUCCPS is to pick from YOU the last entry that appears in YOUR online application as submitted on it’s closing day – they don’t send messages towards that effect.

Phillip, this is to YOU and ALL OTHERS who are in the same predicament –

Seriously, the phone numbers that you provided during the application exercise should always be LIVE AND OPEN AT ALL TIMES from now to the date when you’d report to your respective campuses.

The first alert would come via SMS through your phone lines. In the SMS the University you’d been placed in would notify you about your admission number, the name of your campus, how the admission letters would be sent etc etc
An SMS would pop up with notifications maybe around August or thereabouts, ( that’s maybe – NO SPECIFIC DATE HERE ).

      – Be on the lookout ALWAYS and you might be instructed to report for admission within 3 weeks from the day you receive the SMS alert at the University that you’ve been placed in.

I hope you find the above enlightening.

  18. thnkz xo much for that,,but again if i have realised i had chosen colleges which are not good for me because of ignorance of abriviations during application,, how can i change that? please help

    1. Elisha, once again – the dates for REVISIONS and CHANGES has already lapsed.
That’s the sole reason for being told to note the dates seriously.

      It read thus:

Between Monday, April 20th, 2015 and Saturday April 25th, 2015, the Placement Service will send officials to assist those who may need assistance.

From April 27th, 2015 to May 4th, 2015, applicants may visit the Placement Service offices at ACK Gardens for assistance.

Enquiries may also be made by sending an
email to info@kuccps.ac.ke or calling 0723954927, 0734879662 during the
      application period.

      PLEASE NOTE THE APPLICATION
      DATES CAREFULLY.

However, on all updates on placements etc log into the official KUCCPS website at :

      http://www.kuccps.ac.ke

      – and you’ll never walk alone again!!

  19. Hi,i did my KCSE 2014 and i have register for placement but on my process i only met two institution offering similar course and i chose them as my first choice but they needed three choices in No.1 but me i found two only institutions offering similar course.will be panalised during selection

    1. Vincent, there’s no penalty stated anywhere to be imposed on selections on the choices one makes.

However, it’s always advisable to make all choices in selections. This would ensure that the last choice becomes the place to fall on to in case you missed the other two!

  20. hi, i applied but came to realise i forgot to write postal code but email and numbers i wrote ,, so if at all i am to receive calling letter, how will it be sent to me?

    1. Elisha, Postal codes are insignificant minor errors and won’t make any negative impact on the sending of admission letters.
But make sure you provided the correct phone numbers, SMS alerts would be the first to arrive through your phone lines. Keep your phone lines open and on, all through to the admissions date!!!

    1. Linn, notification letters for admission and SMS would be sent from the specific University that one has been placed in.
