KUCCPS, the sole Placement Body warns of Fraudsters
in Admission.
Students who sat last year’s Form
Four examinations have been asked to look out for fraudsters out to con them using false university
admissions. Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) Chief Executive Officer
John Muraguri said his organisation is the only one mandated with student placement. “We warn them
that our services are free and transparent and anybody asking for money is definitely not an employee
of KUCCPS,” he said in his office.

I have applied KUCCPS REVISION SINCE YESTERDAY, THEN WAS ASKED TO PUT THE MPESA CODE, I PUT THE CODE I HAD APPLIED IN EARLIER WITH BUT THE COMMENT WAS ERROR THE PAYMENT NOT SEEN. I PAID AGAIN AND PUT THE SECOND CODE AND THE SAME WAS REPEATED ERROR PAYMENT NOT SEEN. PLEASE ASSIST ME BEFORE THE DEADLINE BECAUSE IT IS NOW REMAINING 18HOURS ONLY….
Lucy – when working out on deadline dates a lot of things can go wrong – that’s why it’s always advisable to observe early time limits.
Now, how much had you paid through Mpesa transaction – and had you already paid the Sh. 500= while at school?
Time is not on your side – but don’t panic – keep trying while observing all the processes according to the KUCCPS guidelines. Check every detail – to see where you might have done something wrong.

GETTING A PAYMENT ERROR MESSAGE?
Are you getting an error message when submitting your MPesa transaction code?
The last step in submitting your course choices during the ongoing application/revision of degree/diploma/certificate choices is the payment of an application fee via MPesa.
When you submit your MPesa transaction code and receive an error message (Payment Not Found), you need to do the following:
1. After making the MPesa payment, wait for about 5 minutes before submitting the code. This allows the payment to be reflected in the KUCCPS system.
2. Ensure that you make payment to the correct student account (this and other payment instructions are provided by the system when you submit programme codes in the application portal).
3. When submitting the MPesa transaction code, ensure you do not type letter O instead of zero, or number 1 instead of capital letter I, or vice versa. Ensure you enter the correct MPesa transaction code.
4. In case you discover that you made an erroneous payment to the KUCCPS account, for example, if you used a wrong account number, then you need to apply for a reversal of the transaction.
Do this by sending an email to info@kuccps.ac.ke providing the following details:
• Transaction code that you want reversed
• Phone number used to make payment
• Date of transaction
• Amount

I would like to ask if one applied for kmtc courses under kuccps is it possible to get admission to the kmtc.
Prudence – read the following the bit that KMTC recently transmitted and warned all the prospective applicants who wished to join them :
KMTC maintains no students shall be admitted to its campuses other than those selected by it.
so to mean dat l shudn’t av applied through kuccps but to da kmtc itself .
Prudence, you made a big mistake to apply for KMTC through KUCCPS.
You made a mistake that your predecessors made before you in 2015.
You can check elsewhere within this site for a blog that highlighted the dangers in applying for placement to KMTC via KUCCPS.
Had you been more keen and observant here within these blog spots you’d have noticed all the predicaments others before you went through.

l stl cant login to am account l have tried my kcpe index no but still its not going through am worried.
Prudence, there are two numbers on the Birth certificate – one is the Serial No. the other found on the left side of the Birth certificate is called – entry number.
Try this one too to see if it goes through.

Prudence, start the application process again and try using your KCPE exam code instead of the Birth certificate numbers to check if there’d be any changes.

To access Programme Application Form, you MUST pay Kshs 1,000= being the Revision fees or Kshs 1500= for those applying for the first time – this is for those who missed paying 500= while still at school before sitting for the KCSE exams.
You will receive an M-PESA payment confirmation message. On receipt of the message, keep the transaction code and continue with the application process.

i paid the amount required but upto now when i use the code in the sms that i recieved it does not go through but i have not got a confirmation sms from kuccps i only got from mpesa and am worried where to get the codes to fill the part on MPESA ID ,,,,,,, please assist

I sent revision fee of ksh 1000/- through Bus. no 820201 on Monday 18-4-2016 but not yet provided with the secret code to enable proceed to the next step! Details 201542738101093 vide M-Pesa at 12.41pm.

Did you pay the previous 500= while you were still at school?!
This could be the reason for your predicament.

Daisy, first relax don’t panic. Then make sure you fill all the correct information as required.
The most vulnerable place to mess is the place that requires your Id or Birth certificate number – make sure you get it right here!
If you use the Birth certificate then try the serial and birth cert numbers alternatively to see if either of the two works.

Christine, we’ve to cross the bridge only when we reach it. Please, it’s advisable to be patient until when you’ve known your status on admissions. The bronchures that would follow would give you a hint in how to go about on the whole process!

Russell, if you’ve been placed by KUCCPS to join CIT, then don’t waste anymore of valuable time just call CIT directly through their given phone lines OR alternatively just head physically to CIT and collect your admission letters from there.
